Yamba was formed as a youth chapter of APU by Marie Abbot, Jacob Shweda, An Tran, and Evelyn Balsells, all students at Pearson College in 2007 and 2008. They raised over $4000 towards contruction at APU by hosting an afternoon tea at the Metchosin Community Hall.
