LETTER TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Dear parents/guardians, thank you very much for your commitment towards education of your child/children. It has really been a long journey in this just ended academic year of 2017/18. Now we can see our child/children going to the next classes.
It should be mentioned here that a lot of good things have been registered during this academic year which may include learning to use words like “sorry and thank you” among learners and teaching staff, they are able to play fair games, read and speak English, creation of healthy relationships just to mention a few. It is our desire to see your child/children learning to become a reliable person in the community and nation at large. Thank you parents /guardians for working together as a team.
However, we registered a few challenges in this academic year, for instance absenteeism, shabby dressing, children coming to school without/enough writing materials and late coming of learners at school made our work difficult.
Due to high costs of basic school necessities, VGA Management would like to inform you about school fees hike to MK60, 000 per term. Therefore, you are advised to pay school fees through School Bank Account or direct at primary school Accounts office to Miss Chifundo Mwale and make sure that you have been issued a receipt for all your payments made. The accounts office will be open during this holiday at primary school not at secondary school.
On the school uniform and sports attire, the school shall expect your child/children to have the mentioned garments. It is your responsibility to see to it that your child/children are wearing appropriate attire. For example, black school shoes, jersey/pull over, pairs of shorts/trousers, socks and neck ties (BOYS); black school shoes, jersey/pull over, dress and socks (GIRLS). Sports attire may include the following sports shoes, T-shirts, track suits, or pairs of shorts. This applies to both boys and girls. New prices for school uniform:
- All girls aged 10 and above MK22, 000
- All girls aged 9 and below MK16, 800
- Boys’ uniform remains the same: MK18, 000 (with pairs of shorts), MK20, 000 (with pairs of trousers)
The following are prices for writing materials which will be sold here at school
- Small hard covers at K500 each
- Pens at K100 each
- Rulers at K100 each
- Pencils at K100 each
- Packets of crayons at K800
- Mathematical sets at K650 each
I would like also to inform you that school shall conduct SUMMER TERM in the whole month of August at K5, 000 per head. This will start from August 6 to August 31 2018. Those interested in this program should start paying for it as early as possible. Children from other schools are welcome to this initiative. The aim is to give chance to the children who cannot afford to come for normal school sessions here at VGA to learn some important areas in their personal and academic life like hospitality, improving their literacy levels(English language and Arithmetic) and learning to start using magical words like “sorry and thank you” and playing different games.
Lastly, swimming lessons will resume in September 2018. Those who would like to join or continue may do so. 15th September 2018. A charge per month is K30, 000 per head.
